Advanced Placement (AP) designates college level classes taught in compliance with the College Entrance Examination Board Standards. Examinations are taken in May to determine advanced placement and/or credit in college. Advanced Placement classes include: Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Chinese Language and Culture, Computer Science A, Computer Science Principles, English Language & Composition, English Literature & Composition, Environmental Science, Government & Politics: United States, Physics 1, Physics 2, Physics C, Spanish Language and Culture, Statistics, Studio Art: 2-D Design, United States History, and World History.
Honors classes are designated for those students who show exceptional ability in specific subject fields. Honors classes include: Advanced Algebra, American Democracy, American Literature, Chemistry, Economics, English 2, English/European Literature, Modern World, Pre-AP English, Pre-Calculus, Spanish, and United States History.
