SUBSTITUTE SYSTEM:  The Substitute System’s phone number:  345-0064.  The old phone number, 241-6641, is no longer operational.  The on-line system remains the same.  If you have any questions please let me know.

PARKING COURTESY:  Please do not block other cars in both the Bay Street and the Polk Street parking lots.  If you have to block a car, do it only for a few minutes and leave your Galileo Parking Hanger in plain sight in your car.  If you do not have a Galileo Parking Hanger, see Bettie Grinnell in the Main Office.                                       Mrs. Grinnell

GALILEO PTSA EDUCATION AND ENRICHMENT GRANT APPLICATIONS: The Galileo PTSA is accepting Grant Applications from teachers and staff in need of funding for projects, equipment and/or supplies.  For further information please visit galileoweb.org/ptsa. “MIND YOUR MOOD: KNOW THE SIGNS, LEARN THE SKILLS” Join Galileo Wellness for Mental & Emotional Health Awareness Day on Tuesday October 23rd. We are offering over 35 Classroom Workshops during the day– check your inbox for our sign-up sheet to bring a workshop to your classroom. We’ll also be hosting an interactive lunchtime event in the courtyard on Tuesday featuring educational games, music, an prizes! Help us spread the word to your students and hope to see you out there!


ASB STORE in Room 150 is selling healthy snacks, beverages, sweatshirts, lanyards, bookcovers, pens, pennants, mugs, and other spirit items during lunch time and after school. Money helps to pay for our school activities.

ASB STOREis selling ASB card stickers @ $5.00. Discounts are given for dances, sweatshirts, yearbook, and other spirit items.

OKTOBER FEST: is Friday, October 19 during lunch time in the Courtyard.
Clubs need to submit their food proposal at ECM today

HOMECOMING DANCE: will be on Saturday, October 20 from 7 – 11 PM at
Hyatt Hotel Fisherman’s Wharf. Dress is semi-formal. First 200 ticket
buyers will receive a free tri-color neon necklace. The main ballroom
will have dj dancing music and the side lounge room will have dj
karaoke for the singers. Photography is by Prestige. Bring ID with
picture. Door closes at 8:30 PM. Tickets will be sold at ASB store
starting Oct. 1. Prices will be $25 with current ASB card sticker and
$30 without. Prices will go up $30 ASB and $35 w/o from Oct. 15 – 19.
Guest tickets are sold at Dean’s Office @ $35 with guest form.
Happy? Sad? Excited? Bummed? Elated? Stressed? Joyful? Down? Chillin?  All of these feelings are WELCOME!
Join Wellness next Tuesday, October 23rd for our school-wide emotional health event  ~  Mind Your Mood: Know the Signs, Learn the Skills.  We’ll be offering classroom workshops all day and a lunchtime event in the courtyard featuring interactive games, music, an prizes! Come out and express yourself with Wellness!

(CC) applications! First come, first serve!
You may work on ANY of your applications at anytime!  On certain days,
we’ll have a college visit us as well at the workshop!
Before you come to the workshop, do: (1) Start your application and
ask me question at the workshop

“PSAT: Wed, Oct. 17 @ Galileo

All Sophomores will be taking the PSAT on Wed. Oct. 17.
Juniors: If you are interested in taking them, please sign up with Mr. Barbour or Bai Zhen in the counseling office, room 258. Please signup ASAP, spaces are limited for Juniors. Why take PSAT?  To prepare for the SAT and to also qualify for the National Merit Scholarship.
