Galileo PTSA Education/Enrichment Grants Application Procedures Update:
Please submit your applications 3 weeks before the following General PTSA meetings:
Nov. 13, 2013, Jan. 8, 2014, March 12, 2014 and April 9, 2014. This will give the Grants Committee members time to review and then make recommendations for voting at the above listed General PTSA meetings. PARKING COURTESY: Please do not block other cars in both the Bay Street and the Polk Street parking lots. If you have to block a car, do it only for a few minutes and leave your Galileo Parking Hanger in plain sight in your car. ASB STORE in Room 150 is selling healthy snacks, beverages, sweatshirts, new drawstring day packs, hand towels, lanyards, bookcovers, pens, pennants, mugs, and other spirit items during lunch time and after school. Money helps to pay for our school activities.
ASB STORE is selling ASB card stickers @ $5.00. Discounts are given for dances, sweatshirts, yearbook, and other spirit items.
ARE YOU STRESSED? Having a hard time adjusting back to school? Having issues in your friendships or relationships? Just need someone to talk to? Come to the Wellness Program in Room 151. It’s free, private and if you are looking for someone to listen we are here!
OKTOBERFEST is Friday, Oct. 4. Club representatives must attend the Executive Student Council meetings every Monday in room 153 at 3:15 PM. Food proposals will be accepted at ECM starting Monday, Sept. 10.
HOMECOMING SONG AND YELL CONTEST is Friday, Oct. 18
HOMECOMING DANCE TICKETS: are on sale at the ASB store (room 150).Music is by the popular DJ Rodd. Prices are $5 with current ASB card sticker and $7 w/o from Oct. 1 – 11. Prices will go up to $8 with ASB & $10 w/o from Oct. 14 – 18. Guest ticket is $12 and must fill out guest form at the Dean’s Office. You will get a free neon necklace & free photo booth picture. Must bring ID with photo at the door. No tickets sold at the door. Dance is from 7 – 11 PM. Door will close at 8:30 PM. Voting for homecoming court until 9 PM.
GALILEO SCHOOL JACKETS will be on sale on Wed., Oct. 23 during lunch time in front of the auditorium.
HOMECOMING COURT PETITIONS: Deadline has been extended to turn in your homecoming court petition to Monday, Oct. 7 to ASB Office by 4:00 PM.
FRESHMEN CLASS OFFICERS: Deadline has been extended to turn in your freshmen office petition to Monday, Oct. 7 to ASB Office by 4:00 PM.
HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST: will be on Thursday, Oct. 31 in the courtyard during lunch time.
YEARBOOK: Check yourgalileoweb.org email, where you are already invited to join Treering. On the Treering.com site, you can start customizing your two personal yearbook pages. That will also be the website where you can purchase your yearbook. Purchases will 15% off until Sept 30th. Orders can be online this year, you can use a credit card or check.
