PARKING COURTESY:  Please do not block other cars in both the Bay Street and the Polk Street parking lots.  If you have to block a car, do it only for a few minutes and leave your Galileo Parking Hanger in plain sight in your car.  If you do not have a Galileo Parking Hanger, see Bettie Grinnell in the Main Office.                                       Mrs. Grinnell

 

***Universal Precautions and Asthma Management/Emergency Information 2014-2015

In the WAD from this week that I emailed to all of you is information on the Universal Precautions and Asthma Management.  I also have the information along with the roster in the Main Office.  The district requires that you read the information and sign the roster indicating that you have read it.  Please stop by the Main Office by January 15, 2015 to sign the roster.     Mrs. Grinnell

STUDENTS

ASB STORE is selling sweatshirts, lanyards, towels, beverages, and healthy snacks in room 150 during lunch time and after school.

 

ASB CARD STICKERS are sold in room 150 @ $5.00. You will get a free Galileo purple pen and planner. Limited supplies.

HARVEST FOOD FESTIVAL: is Friday, Nov. 21. Clubs must attend the Executive Student Council meetings every Monday in room 153 at 3:15 PM for details.

 

WINTER BALL: is Saturday, Nov.22 at Hyatt Hotel, Fisherman’s Wharf from 7 – 11 PM. Dress is semi-formal.There will be both dj dancing and karaoke. Free desserts and drinks. Photography by Prestige. Must bring ID with photo at the door. Doors will close at 8:30 PM.

All you have to do to get your yearbook is to:

Step1-Sign in to your galileoweb email.

Step 2-Go to search and type in “Tree ring”.

Step 3-Open up the most recent  “Tree ring” email and click the link to create an account.

Many college admission counselors are visiting Galileo, please come meet them:

11/10 @ 10:30, 11:15, & 1:05pm RM 464            The Chinese University of Hong Kong will do 3 short presentations (If you have class at this time and would like to attend this presentation, please ask Ms. S. Chan for a pass.)

The Google Code-in is a contest to introduce pre-university students (ages 13-17) to the many kinds of contributions that make open source software development possible. The contest runs from December 1, 2014 to January 19, 2015.  For more details, check your School Loop email.

 

For 10th  11th & 12th:

If you’re interested in joining the 2015 Historical Black College & University Tour, it’s during the spring break and the cost is $1500 per student including everything.  For more details, please check your School Loop mail or ask Ms. Tachelle in the 2nd floor computer lab.

For 11th:

If you’re interested in taking a low cost SAT prep class on campus, please see Ms. S. Chan by 11/14.

For 11th & 12th:

Turn in uAspire consent form ASAP!!!

-All students must turn in the consent form even if you are not interested in working with a uAspire financial aid adviser

-Turn in signed consent forms to the College and Career Center either to Michael or Ms. S. Chan

-If you did not receive a consent form in the mail or during the AC101 workshop, pick one up at the College and Career Center

If you want to be part of the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies at CCSF, the application deadline is 11/10.  For more details, visit www.ccsf.edu/cahs
