***Universal Precautions and Asthma Management/Emergency Information 2014-2015

In the WAD from this week that I emailed to all of you is information on the Universal Precautions and Asthma Management.  I also have the information along with the roster in the Main Office.  The district requires that you read the information and sign the roster indicating that you have read it.  Please stop by the Main Office by January 15, 2015 to sign the roster.     Mrs. Grinnell


ASB STORE is selling sweatshirts, lanyards, towels, beverages, and healthy snacks in room 150 during lunch time and after school.


ASB CARD STICKERS are sold in room 150 @ $5.00. You will get a free Galileo purple pen and planner. Limited supplies.

SENIORS: Order your cap and gown, senior ring and graduation announcements online at www.jostens.com.



All you have to do to get your yearbook is to:

Step1-Sign in to your galileoweb email.

Step 2-Go to search and type in “Tree ring”.

Step 3-Open up the most recent  “Tree ring” email and click the link to create an account.

For 9th  10th 11th & 12th:

1/21 @ 11:45am RM 154    Jobs in the Construction Field      The construction field is

highly rewarding as well as high in demand in the current economy and it is an

awesome opportunity to get some hands-on training.

1/22 @ 10:40am & 12:30pm RM 157        Air Force ROTC Presentation        This is open

to all students who are interested in attending.  If you want to attend and need a pass

for your teacher to be excused, please see Ms. S. Chan.

1/24 @ 9am @ Oakland Marriot Convention Center    Black College Expo             Ticket is $8

1/25 @ 1:30-3:30pm @ Jewish Community High School        GAP Year      If you would

like to take an educational break after you graduate from HS and before you start college, consider doing a GAP year.  Come to this fair and you will find plenty of valuable options.  For more details: usagapyearfairs.org

SF Mimi Troupe is offering PAID Internships for Theater Production & Performance.  No previous experience is required. Spaces are limited.  You will receive $10.00 a class; Food is offered at every class.  Application deadline is 1/23/15.  Check School Loop for application and details or stop by the College & Career Center.


For 10th & 11th:

Young women: if you are interested in computer science related education, Girls Who Code is a FREE 7 week course for you.  It also includes trips to top tech companies & mentorship from amazing women in the industry.  Application deadline is 2/5.  For more info., please see Ms. S. Chan or your counselor.


For 10th,  11th & 12th:

If you’re interested in joining the 2015 Historical Black College & University Tour, it’s during the spring break and the cost is $1500 per student including everything.  For more details, please check your School Loop mail or ask Ms. Tachelle in the 2nd floor computer lab.

Employment/Volunteer/Internship Bulletin on the College & Career website or the

bulletin board in the Counseling Center.


For 11th & 12th:

2/26  @ Skyline College     A free conference including breakfast and lunch for African American juniors & seniors who is interested in learning more about Skyline College and resources on campus. Please let either Ms. S. Chan or Mr. Donald Harper know if you are interested in going.

For 12th:

1/21 @ 2:30pm         RM 555          College Application Process Part II for seniors  This presentation includes basic financial aid and college application follow ups for seniors who are in Mr. Papa’s, Mr. Jung’s, and Mr. Lynch’s social studies class.

1/22 @ 2:30pm         RM 104          CCSF Info. & App. Workshop        If you plan to or want to attend City College of San Francisco, you must come to this last application workshop.

1/29 @ 5:30pm         Auditorium    Cash For College    Seniors & parents are welcomed to come and win a brand new lap top and complete the FAFSA or the CA Dream Act.
