10/19 @ 12:20pm @ 104: Montana Tech. University: A 4 year, public, institution with 2,900 students, specializing in engineering, science, and health related degrees. This university offers an excellent scholarship program and the job placement rate is at 90% overall, with many of our majors sitting at 100% placement.

Activities include mock classes, mock trial, campus tours, student panels and information sessions for parents in English and Spanish. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. JCYC Upward Bound is a college access program that provides year-round programming designed to help students find and maintain success in high school while learning about college application and financial aid processes. Some program highlights include a six-week summer program where students get to live in college dorms as well as an annual trip to southern California to visit colleges like UCLA and USC. For any motivated 9th and 10th graders interested learning more about the program, please drop by the Advisor Hub in room 209 on Mondays and Wednesdays and talk to Jeff Smith.
We encourage and recommend all juniors consider taking the ACT test for college admission eligibility. Therefore we offer a low cost ACT prep class on campus. This class will start in Jan. and ends in April just in time for the April ACT test. Cost may range from $290 to $490 per student depending on the number of students taking the class. Enrolled by 11/12. For more details, please pick up a flyer in the College & Career in room 258.

All seniors, please turn in your uAspire consent form to room 209 as soon as possible. Look for Michael, your GalileouAspire advisor if you need a form. He is here to help seniors throughout the financial aid process.
Please check out the scholarship posting. It’s posted in the Counseling Center or from last week’s announcements. There are quite a few scholarship opportunities for you already. Don’t miss deadlines!
Many well-known and well respected private colleges offer fly-in programs now. They will cover transportation cost, room and board for you to visit their campus for 2 to 3 days, so that you can decide if you like the college enough that you will apply there.

The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies (CAHS) at City College of SF is now accepting applications for the Spring 2016. Application deadline is 11/9/15.
