4/28/16 @ 2:15pm-4:15pm @ RM 555: GPA Game for 10th & 11th College Ambassadors: How important is your high school GPA in the college application process? Come learn about this in a fun GPA game. Any sophomore and junior students are welcome.

4/11/16 @ Lunch time @ Courtyard: CYC Paid Summer Internship: The Community Youth Center’s Young Adult Worklink Program is offering a paid summer internship for 17- 24 year olds (students turning 17 in the summer are welcome to apply). The internship entails 8 weeks of paid job readiness workshops on resume building, career exploration, and more in preparation for 3 interviews for an internship. The internship is paid minimum wage at worksites such as office work, after-school programming, to law and healthcare facilitates. Deadline to apply is May 6 and the program will start on June 13th. Are you between 17 and 24 years old, looking for a high-paying career? Be part of SF’s growing tech industry! Mission Techies provides FREE training sessions and you can also get a $500 stipend. 4/15/16 @ 1pm-4pm @ RM210: CCSF Individual Counseling Appt: If you took the CCSF placement exam on 2/10/16 but haven’t met with the CCSF counselor to get your placement scores, you need to meet with the counselor on this day. Appt. reminder slips will be delivered to your class on either 4/14 or 4/15.
4/27/16 2:15pm-4:15pm @ RM 555L College Transition Workshop for 12th College Ambassadors: Now that you’re going to college soon, what do you still need to know so that you can successfully graduate from college? This workshop welcomes any seniors in addition to the senior college ambassadors.
4/29/16 FRISCO Day: seniors who will attend a community college, join the workforce or the military, or not sure what to do after graduating from high school will go to CCSF for different transitional workshops. For seniors who will attend a 4 year college after high school will stay at Galileo for a special assembly and lunch time resource fair in the courtyard. Stay tuned for more details.
2016 Filipino-American HS Graduating Scholars’ Award: If you are a Filipino-American seniors and have a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher, please apply for this scholarship. It’s an easy application and the deadline is May 4, 2016. Pick up the application either in the College & Career Center or from the Advisor Hub in room 209.
If you have been awarded a scholarship either from a college or a private organization, please let Michael Lau know. You can either email the information to him at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop it off to him in room 209.
If you need to order an official transcript for college or for scholarship reason, please complete a transcript request form. You can pick up a copy of this form from room 209, the Counseling Center or the College & Career Center. Please allow at least two days for processing.
