Weekly Bulletin

AUGUST 27 – 31,2018

FACULTY/STAFF

WORD OF THE WEEK:

GALILEO GALILEI DISCOVERS 4 MOONS OF JUPITER.

GALILEO DISCOVERED JUPITER’S FIRST 4 MOONS IN 1610, THE LARGEST OF THE 79 CURRENT IDENTIFIED MOONS OF JUPITER.  GALILEO DISCOVERED IO, EUROPA, GANYMEDE AND CASTILLO FROM HIS BALCONY IN FLORENCE. Check out the mural outside the Main Office for a picture of that scene.

WELCOME BACK ASSEMBLY:  Will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, in Galileo’s auditoroium during a double 4th period.  How this works is that half of the classes attend the first assembly and the other half attend 4th period.  Once the first assembly is over then classes switch places and those who attended the first assembly go to 4th period class and those who went to 4th period class attend the second assembly.  Schedules and Assembly Assignments will be emailed to all staff and posted on the counter in the Main Office by mid-week.

SCHOOL ACCOUNTANT’S REGULAR DAY FOR 2018 – 2019 SCHOOL YEAR:  The school accountant will come on Thursdays from 8:30am – 3:30pm. She is located in one of the offices in Room 206.

**EMAIL ADDRESS FOR BULLETIN NOTICES:  Please email bulletin notices to: grinnelle1@sfusd.edu. The deadline for submitting items for the bulletin is Friday morning by 8:30am. Mrs. Grinnell

Please see Bettie Grinnell in the Main Office.     Social Committee

PARKING COURTESY:  Please do not block other cars in both the Bay Street and the Polk Street parking lots.  If you have to block a car, do it only for a few minutes and leave your Galileo Parking Hanger in plain sight in your car.  If you do not have a Galileo Parking Hanger, see Bettie Grinnell in the Main Office. ALSO PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO MORE PARKING ON FRANCISCO STREET BY THE FLAG POLE.  CURRENTLY WE HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD NOT TO PARK ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING ON FRANCISCO STREET AS THIS BREAKS THE LAW OF “NO DRIVING ON SIDEWALKS.”  Further information may be forthcoming.    Mrs. Grinnell
