GALILEO VARSITY FOOTBALL
TEAM AAA CITY CHAMPIONS!!
WORD OF THE WEEK: GALILEO VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM AAA CITY CHAMPIONS: THE MIGHTY GALILEO LIONS DEFEATED THE MISSION BEARS IN THE AAA CHAMPTIONSHIP GAME ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2017 AT KEZAR STADIUM WITH A FINAL SCORE OF 50-28.
This is Galileo’s 18th AAA Championship Title. Earlier this season the Mighty Lions lost to the Mission Bears in league play with a final score of 40 – 36. We played with a lot of heart and passion, and I was really happy with our execution. I’m proud how we’ve come together the last month of the season.”

WE STILL HAVE OPENINGS IN ALL THREE TRACKS. Please let me know if you have any questions.
This free program, tailored for high-school age students, takes place from 10am-6pm on Saturday, December 9 at:
Best Buy Teen Tech Center at Alternatives in Action – McClymonds High School
2607 Myrtle Street,
Oakland, CA 94610
GRAMMY Camp® is a one-day non-residential music industry experience where a small group (25-40) of students gain an introduction to the business of music and how they can become successful in it.
We are offering three tracks in Oakland:
- Video Production
- Vocal Performance
- Electronic Music Production
Students receive comprehensive instruction on video recording techniques, including camera and miking technique, pre-and post production in multiple applications. Campers will also learn aspects of traditional music and video production, and budgeting as applied to today’s rapidly changing industry. Students should have a rudimentary understanding of video recording equipment and video editing software.
This track is for singers only. Singers’ skills will be honed with a focus on vocal techniques, background (live and recorded) and lead singing. This track provides campers with the opportunity to work and collaborate with instrumental combos as well as the songwriters, while learning valuable insights on sound business practices including effective marketing.
Electronic Music Production
Participants will learn state-of-the-art methods of programming, editing, sampling and mixing on digital audio work stations to help further develop their original compositions. This Career Track will also expose students to cutting-edge techniques in digital music production, remixing and sound manipulation.
Lunch is included. Limited spots are reserved on a first come-first served basis.
Registration is easy and online:
We really want to extend this opportunity to as many students in the area as possible and look forward to hearing from you — and if we’ve reached you in error, please feel free to redirect the information or us — to the appropriate contact!
