And a special welcome to our new incoming 9th grade students. For freshmen, there is an orientation and brunch on Friday, August 22 from 8:30am - 2:30pm. Please plan to attend so you can learn all about your new school.

  The first day of school is Monday, August 25 and class starts at 8:00am. The regular bell schedule for this year is the same as last year, including the extended 7-minute passing periods due to construction. There will be a special schedule with homeroom every day for the first week of school.

Technology is always moving forward, and our new web site is just one way to see that Galileo is a school that keeps up with the times. The new site is powered by the free, open-source software WordPress MU.

Only about 30 people remain. In addition to the training sessions next week, support will continue to be available for the rest of the school year.

The conversion of the web site to our new system is on schedule. This summer, the new site will be finalized and the old site discontinued. Thanks to the PTSA, School Site Council, administration, and teachers for your support of this project.
