What is the Galileo Environmental Science Pathway?

For the last eight years, the Galileo Academy of Science and
Technology has partnered with numerouus community organizations
and governmental agencies. These partnerships enable
Galileo Academy to offer its environmental science students a
curriculum filled with unique experiences designed to support
and promote the study of the environment and environmental careers.
Pathway students have opportunitites for weekly field trips, mentorships
and internships. Students also recieve training in the use of
state-of-the-art scientific equipment and techniques.

All students are welcome to apply to the Environmental Science Pathway.
The program material is challenging and space is limited to 25 students
per class. Sutdents must fill out an application and obtain the signatures
of two Galileo staff members who will recommend them as a student for
the class. Students who take this course and complete the suggested course
sequence receive a special Galileo diploma noting their commitment.
