Rising Every Time You Fall

June 14, 2008

One of the greatest tests in life is not never falling, but instead rising every time you do fall. Overcoming adversity is a fact of life and of football.  During the course of an individual’s life, he will reach high peaks and fall into low valleys, often due to circumstances beyond his control. The same can be said of a football team.  The key point is to expound on the positive rather than dwell on the negative.  Even the darkest night does not block out all the stars. Some people see a glass of water and say it is half empty; others say it is half full.  Teams or individuals can be either eternal optimists or eternal pessimists.  Impossible situations are actually brilliantly disguised opportunities.  Pressure brings out the true character of an individual or team.  How a team or individual responds to adversity will have  direct effect on the true outcome of a game, season, or life.
