This year, some of the Health Academy Seniors, working in conjunction with some of Mr. Machtay’s students, created the recruiting commercial for the Health Academy.
Their goal was to create a commercial that was entertaining, and made people want to learn more about the Health Academy. We are happy with the end result, and we hope you like it too.

Nutrition Label Mix Match: This is the game we played. Food labels tell customers the nutrition level of each food item.
Lesson 3 PowerPoint: Food Labelling: Remember manufactures are NOT your friends. Please play attention to the serving size while you are reading the nutrition label!
Macronutrients: Remember macronutrients are proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Be sure you know their functions. Micronutrients such as vitamins and calcium do NOT provide any energy but they contribute to health maintenance.
