Sept 17-18

NO FOOD, NO DRINK, NO GUM IN COMPUTER LAB!

ONLY STUDENTS WHO BELONG IN THE CLASS SHOULD BE IN ROOM 101!

2nd and 3rd periods:
Students need to complete

  1. Typography MS Word Layout — print out
  2. Artists MS Word Layout — print out
  3. Galileo Logo — save for web as jpg
  4. First Name Logos — save for web as 3 different jpgs

students need to be on certain computers because their work is saved locally. Some students are on PC side of the room because of overflow. Some students may need help from other students, allow them to help each other but keep the game playing and chattering in check.

5th period:
Students must complete

  1. lasso1 — save on their computers
  2. courtyard — save on their computers
  3. Create a Landscape combining three different pictures (at least one from San Francisco); keep the layered PSD file and don’t save as a JPG until Mr Machtay sees it on block day.

6th period:
There is a test at start of class Monday. Mr Chun has copies of the test to hand out. There are three different variations of the test. Make sure each student has enough space to take the test. Please hand out pens — I will not read answers written in pencil (but storyboard may be done in pencil).

I would like students to work on variations of Neon Fever Dance commercial, but there can’t be noise while others are taking the test. They can work on the Dance commercials on Tuesday.

Don’t forget the Elevator Pitches that are due at start of class on Thursday. I will not accept them late. Write a 30-second pitch to “sell” a movie or tv series (use one of yr favorite movies or tv shows). I don’t expect these to be perfect, but I want to see what students come up with.

On Monday and Tuesday some students need to prepare for Wednesday morning’s broadcast. B-roll is in sequence. Music is needed over countdown, dance commercial and dragonboat commercial; titles are needed (“Be Safe, Be Sane on the Internet” and “Video of the Week”)

Tuesday, students need to pick up announcements from main office and get announcements from aoitgtv@gmail.com to make cue cards.

Substitute or Mr Chun can phone me on my cell phone.
