Art Movement Websites

There are six teams in the class, each with team leaders who will act as peer mentors, responsible for helping their teammates and guiding their website to completion. But each member of the team is expected to contribute to this group project.

The six team topics offer a random look at art in the last 100-or-so years:

  • ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONISM
  • COMMERCIAL ART
  • CUBISM
  • IMPRESSIONISM
  • MODERN ARCHITECTURE
  • POP ART

Team leaders have been provided with a list of possible topics within each category. Each team member should know what topic(s) they will be writing about as of Monday, April 8th.

STEP ONE:

Each student will hand in a design for their group website (as .JPG file) on Friday, April 12th. While each individual is responsible for creating their own website design, the team site will be constructed with one consistent template. Make sure there is space for images to be displayed prominently – this is a website about visual art.

Each student will hand in 400 words for their web page(s) (as .DOC/.DOCX file) by Monday, April 15th. Do NOT copy from the Internet. Put it in your own words.
