I want to learn…
When you took the test last week each of you wrote a sentence that began with the words “I want to learn to…” Today we will review the correct form of these sentences.
Work with a partner on the hand-out sheet. Fill in both of your names at the top of the sheet.
Read the first sentence together: “I want to learn to zoom tool to enlarge the picture.”
Is this correct? If it is correct, write “OK” in the column to the right. If it is not correct, rewrite the sentence in the right hand column.
Sentence one is missing the words “use the” – it should read, “I want to learn to use the zoom tool to enlarge the picture.”
Now go through the rest of the sentences. Some of them are correct as they are written. If it is correct, write “OK” to the right. If it is not correct, rewrite the sentence so that it is correct.
Then fill in the sentence frames at the bottom of the page.
NOTE: When there is one thing you put an “a” before it (“I want to make a birthday card.”). When there is more than one thing you usually add an “s” to the word to make it plural (“I want to make birthday cards.”).
Go to machtayh > pickup folder. There is a file named “iwant.psd.” Drag this file to your desktop so you can work on it.
Each student should work on this alone. Complete each of the six sentences. “I want to cook ______.” “I want to make ______.”
Then find an image online for each of the six sentences.
Save the file as a PSD and put it in dropoff folder.
