Storyboard a Movie

This is a Communication Challenge.

In pickupdropoff > machtayh > pickup > take the file called “storyboard.psd” drag it to your Documents folder.

Storyboarding is an important part of planning for a movie (of any kind). On a professional movie, time on the set with actors and technicians is very expensive. You can’t sit around and try to decide what angle to shoot next. You can’t “play it by ear” and later discover that the shots don’t go together.

So you plan all the shots out on a Storyboard.

You don’t have to be a great artist to draw a storyboard. The two important things are: (1) Size on the Screen; and (2) Screen Direction.

In this case you’re going to plan a short video that has 16 or fewer shots.

Your movie will be silent (no words).

It should communicate an idea you believe in. How can you communicate an idea without words? What images will you choose to communicate to the audience?
