Artist Research Project

Mr. Machtay will give students a chance to select artists from his list. The list focuses on the last 100 years and includes many graphic designers, architects, sculptors, and industrial designers — people who have designed the buildings, chairs, and public spaces you see, as well as the designers of the magazine covers, ads and product logos that surround us.

You will research information about your artist and crete a PowerPoint to present to the class. Aside from the research, you will also include your opinion about the artist’s work.

Create a folder in your Documents called [Artist Name]. From machtayh > pickup folder > download file artistresearchprompts.docx. Drag this into your Artist folder. Collect large size images of your artist’s work in this same folder.

You will fill in the Word Document artistresearchprompts with bullet points about your artist. These are due on block day before spring break (March 21/22).
