This Way Ahead

This Way Ahead, a program of Enterprise for High School Students, is recruiting underserved youth, ages 16-18, who are interested in working in retail and have demonstrated commitment and leadership potential. Please spread the word to the youth you work with about this opportunity.

Interested youth should call 415-392-7600 ext. 319 to sign up for an Information Session.

Youth must attend one mandatory Information Session to apply for This Way Ahead. Information Sessions will begin in early November. Please see our 2011-2012 calendar for Information Session dates/times and for the overall program structure.

This Way Ahead offers youth a 14 week job-readiness training program (Jan-April) that includes a $50 stipend every two weeks and a free monthly Muni pass. Upon completion of the job-readiness training, students will be eligible to apply for a paid 4 month internship at Gap or Old Navy stores (June-Sept.). 50% of the youth will be accepted into the internship. All youth who complete the training will become members of Enterprise and have access to our year round job bank, 3 paid summer employment programs and college and career counseling.

Since there is the possibility of employment with Gap, Inc., we are only able to accept students with documentation of their legal right to work in the US and who can pass a background check.

You can download a This Way Ahead flyer from our website to post in your office or give to interested youth.
