A Quick Word from Mr. McDowell
I can’t imagine anything more enjoyable and satisfying than teaching at Galileo Academy of Science and Technology. With the exception of teaching art for one year, I have been a part of Galileo’s famous Science Department for eleven years. The only thing more extraordinary than the colleagues I work with are the students I teach. It is both an honor and a privilege to be the teacher of such a dynamic, curious and large hearted group. My students are a true source of inspiration. I look forward to hearing their stories both as students at Galileo Academy and after their graduation. Their spirits make me want to be the best teacher I can be, but I can not do it alone. I believe that we all have something to contribute to the education of our youth. I am delighted when somebody offers to be a guest speaker or wants to sponsor one of our summertime interns. I enjoy having parents join us on field trips or offer to provide feedback on an essay. I encourage everybody, whether they have a child attending Galileo Academy or not to get involved. These students are our future. A future we all share. I invite you to make a difference. If you wish to support my efforts or if you want to contact me I would be delighted to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me. Thank you, Richard McDowell:
