Physiology syllabus

Physiology is the study of the functions of the bodyÂ
structures. Physiology 1 will emphasize body tissues,
skin, skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system,
and respiratory system. Physiology 2 will emphasize the
circulatory system, lymphatic system, urinary system,Â
nervous system, endocrine system, reproductive system,
and embryology.Â
Grading: The course grade will be given point value and
based on the following:
Lab Report Notebook                     40%
Classwork/Homework                    20%
Tests & Final Exam                         40%
The following percentage scale will be used in determing
final course grade. Attendance and effort will be used
to help determine borderline cases.
90% - 1oo% =Â Â A
80% - 89%Â Â =Â Â B
70% - 79% =Â Â Â C
60% - 69% =Â Â Â D
59% or below = F
Attendance:
1 cut                          = warning by teacher
2 cuts or absences= phone parent or guardian
3 cuts or more        = referral to counselor

respiration, genetics, and evolution. Biology 2 will emphasize
ecology, microbiology, physiology, botany, and zoology.Â
